ABOUT SAEON

The words were there.
The meaning wasn’t.

A piece of writing can sound finished and still fail to say what you meant.

Ask AI to help with an idea and the sentences arrive quickly. Then comes the work: putting the substance back, removing the stock phrases, checking the confident claims. Explain what’s wrong and it may agree with you, without getting any closer to the answer.

Saeon grew out of that frustration. Writing depends on understanding the subject, the purpose, and the reader. An answer needs evidence that holds up when you question it. More polished language doesn’t settle either problem.

We’re building Saeon to take that work seriously: preserve what you mean, examine what supports an answer, and make difficult knowledge easier to use.

THE PERSON BEHIND SAEON

Dez Udezue.

Author. AI engineer. Building Saeon.

Dez is an author and AI engineer with a background in mathematics and science. At Meta, his work has spanned model evaluation and improvement, human annotation and labeling, integrity, monetization, and A/B testing grounded in statistical analysis. Earlier, he worked on ads delivery at LinkedIn and ads ranking at Microsoft.

That experience puts a practical question at the center of Saeon: how do you tell whether a system is getting better at the thing that matters? His work as a novelist brings another standard: writing has to carry an idea, not just fill a page.
